How to Screenshot on Mac ?
On a Mac, you have several ways to take a screenshot depending on what you want to capture:
1. Entire Screen
Press Command + Shift + 3

The screenshot will be saved as a file on your Desktop by default.

If you hold
Controlas well (Command + Shift + Control + 3), the screenshot will be copied to your clipboard instead of saved.
2. Selected Portion of the Screen
Press Command + Shift + 4

Your cursor changes to a crosshair. Click and drag to select the area you want to capture.

Release the mouse/trackpad to take the shot.

Hold Control along with it to copy to clipboard (Command + Shift + Control + 4).
3. Specific Window
Press Command + Shift + 4, then tap Spacebar

The cursor turns into a camera icon.

Click the window you want to capture.

Again, use Control for clipboard instead of file.
4. Screenshot Toolbar (More Options) (macOS Mojave or later)
Press Command + Shift + 5

A toolbar appears with options to capture the whole screen, a portion, or a specific window.

You can also record your screen from here.

You can change where the screenshot is saved and set a timer.
5. Touch Bar Screenshot (MacBooks with Touch Bar)
Press Command + Shift + 6

Captures exactly what’s shown on the Touch Bar.
Tip: You can change where your screenshots save by pressing Command + Shift + 5, clicking Options, and selecting your preferred location.
